Oktoberfest Tacoma is not your typical Oktoberfest event. The emphasis is on fun, not tradition. Don’t expect a lot of traditional “oompah” music, old men wearing lederhosen, girls with hula-hoops, or guys destroying pumpkins with chainsaws. We wouldn’t want to distract you from the rare and local beer (and cider!) you won’t find anywhere else

We asked brewers to bring two beers (or ciders) and a backup with the request that one of the beers (or ciders) be something seasonal and/or creative take on Oktoberfest. Here is what we’ll get:

American Brewing (Breakaway IPA and Caboose Oatmeal Stout)
Burris Brewing (Oktoburrfest)
Finnriver Cidery (Black Currant and Pear cider)
Harmon Brewery (Stryker Stout and Pumpkin Spiced Takhoma Blonde)
Lazy Boy Brewing (Oktoberfest)
Schooner Exact (Brewers’ Reserve Pirate Stout and 3 Grid IPA)
Trade Route Brewing (Hoppy Bitch IPA and Vanilla Midnight Porter)
Wingman Brewers (Simcoe Wet Hop Ale and Pumpkin Stout)
Jeff’s Ice Cream (make your own beer floats! Yum!)

Also represented will be:
New Belgium Lips of Faith series (CLUTCH sour brown ale)
Silver City Brewing (Oktoberfest)
Spire Ciders (Dark and Dry cider)
Tieton Cider (dry apple cider)

Admission is $12 advance and $18 at the door and includes 5 generous tastings! Additional tasting tokens can be purchased for $1.50. Tickets can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets or in person at 99 Bottles and Amocat Cafe.
